on in August 2010
Friday
6 and Saturday 7 August - Finstock Festival.
Friday evening in the main marquee will be headlined from 20.00
by Subway, a vibrant and dynamic band with a wide repertoire of
pop and rock music.
Saturday will begin with the Annual Football tournament of local
clubs, kicking off at noon. The afternoon’s activities will
run alongside the football from 14.00 onwards and will include:
Farms2Ewe (hands on farm yard); Face Painting; Tug of War; Craft
Activities and Stalls; Children’s Art Competition; Photo Competition;
Aunt Sally knockout; Bungee Run and a variety of other stalls.
Saturday evening will again centre on the main marquee from 20.00
with Dirty Earth Band – an awesome threesome playing rock
covers with unlimited energy!
The bar and food stall will be running throughout the Festival.

Witchwood School of Rock will be holding
Summer workshops at the New Beaconsfield Hall on the following dates:

Witchwood
School of Rock is for children aged 6yrs to 18yrs of all abilities.This
Summer you will be taught how to write catchy songs, how to record
your music, produce your own CD, storyboard and create your band
music video and learn stagecraft for live performance. You will
end the week performing live on stage in front of your family and
friends.
All sessions start at
13.00 finishing at 16.00. Costs start from £80 for the week
plus special rates for second siblings. For further information

Saturday 28 August - St. Mary’s
Church Fete from noon onwards. Theme:
Noah’s Ark, with a mural of animals, to be coloured in by
children. Many stalls on the village green, food and drink, and
a wide variety of children’s games.
Also, in the church, a continuous variety of music, exhibitions,
a quiz for children, trips up the tower, tea and cake available
Books
for the book stall would be gratefully received. They may be left
(preferably in boxes) in the garage at Salisbury Place, Church Street
(next to the Church) before 20 August
